Someone in the endocrinology hierarchy has actually admitted that thyroid patients may not always be getting adequate treatment and that there is more to understand about how to get patients well:
Many thyroid patients on thyroid medication continue to experience symptoms of hypothyroidism. This is well known to many of us. Many thyroid patients are also aware that their TSH is not an indication of how well they are.
Specifically, getting TSH into the reference range is no guarantee of good health.
Thyroid patients who have struggled with their health for some time know their own bodies and they know that TSH can't be used as the main means of assessing whether they are healthy in terms of thyroid hormone action.
This information is from a presentation by Dr Carole Spencer, who is a past president of the American Thyroid Association. It contains a number of observations, which should ring true with many, many thyroid patients.

I felt it was time that I did one single blog post that provides an overview of the circadian T3 method (CT3M) as a starting point for a thyroid patient or doctor who wishes to find out about it.
What is the Circadian T3 Method (CT3M)?
The Circadian T3 Method is a subset of the T3 Dosage Management Process that I used to regain my health.
I was recently asked to write an article about the 'Recovering with T3' book and the circadian T3 method (CT3M) for Swedish thyroid patients.
I have written what I consider to be the best overview I've done so far on 'Recovering with T3' and the CT3M.
This overview should be helpful for those people would like an introduction to my work and want to hear more about the importance of liothyronine (T3) medication and the circadian T3 method.

I recently received this feedback from a thyroid patient:
.... others may have given you similar feedback about nausea. I started CT3M with a very small dose at about 1½ hours before normal waking time but always became nauseous within a few minutes – and it lasted for several hours after waking. However, I persisted because adrenal supplements made me feel "wired" once I started CT3M so I knew it must be working.
