These are the steps I took to a better wellbeing. I stood in my former doctor’s office being told to have my thyroid removed and all would be better and I would only need a tiny pill to make this better. She suggested I would lose weight if I exercised more and limited my carbs. She had just lost weight from having a weight loss surgery. I decided to go online and read every alternative way to a better health that I could. I was so irritated that she told me to exercise more due to the fact her office was next door to my gym and I was dripping with sweat from my Zumba class 30 minutes prior.
I made an appointment with a Naturopathic ND.
She placed me on NDT and T3 letting me decide when to raise.
1.Optimizing my thyroid levels with NP Thyroid and T3 Liothyronine
2. Balancing my cortisol to make my adrenals happy. I tested with a four point saliva test. I recently decided to try the CT3M with excellent results.
3. I stopped eating gluten, rarely eat sugar, lowered my carbs, The Paleo Diet. I was a huge carb lover.
4. I corrected my B12, B6, B9, B2, iron, D, selenium, magnesium, and added C, K2 mk7
5. Worked on a healthy gut flora, the diet helped but a good probiotic, kombucha, lemon, ginger assisted.
I started living a active life because my hypo symptoms went away. Depression, weight gain, anxiety, constipation, pre diabetes were the most annoying and the first to leave.
I did not have my thyroid removed!
Since my new found wellbeing, I have been on two, week-long bike tours in Germany, Austria, Italy and Czech Republic.
I stopped seeing a conventional doctor for my thyroid condition. I was misdiagnosed for over thirty years with their lack of good enough knowledge and not learning enough to be able to help me.
